Blowing the Whistle Under Dodd-Frank & SOX: The SEC’s and CFTC’s Whistleblower Program

The Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA) will host their 2016 PIABA Annual Meeting and Securities Law Seminar at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, in San Diego on October 26-29, 2016.

Partner Jordan A. Thomas will speak on the topic, “Blowing the Whistle Under Dodd-Frank & SOX: The SEC’s and CFTC’s Whistleblower Program,” which will be moderated by Darlene Pasieczny, an attorney in the Investor Defender Practice at Samuels Yoelin Kantor LLP. This session will provide an overview of the SEC’s and the CFTC’s whistleblower program established under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Protection Act, with a focus on key legal issues faced by practitioners representing clients with potential whistleblower claims. The session will also touch upon whistleblower claims under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
