LANDMARK LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST SEC TO PROTECT ALL WHISTLEBLOWERS

The Hedge Fund Association, a trade group representing smaller hedge funds, and the industry publication HedgeWorld sent out emails to their member and subscriber lists asking them to participate in the survey, according to Jordan Thomas, [whose prior firm] commissioned the study along with the two organizations. Research Now, an online data collection firm, supplied additional industry names for the survey, he said.

“The challenge for the hedge fund industry is to bridge the lack of trust both with fund leadership as well as the financial service regulators,” said Mr. Thomas, who heads his firm’s practice representing whistleblowers.
