LANDMARK LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST SEC TO PROTECT ALL WHISTLEBLOWERS

Law360 Names Jordan Thomas 2018 MVP in Securities Law

Jordan A. Thomas, head of a prominent Whistleblower Representation Practice, has been named a 2018 Securities Law MVP by Law360.

Law360’s MVPs of the Year recognizes attorneys who had extraordinary wins and contributed most to their practice area in the past year. Thomas, one of only six lawyers named as MVP by the publication in the Securities Law category, is being recognized for his handling of several landmark settlements over the past year, including the largest ever award in the history of the SEC Whistleblower Program – $83 million to a group of whistleblowers for the successful $415 million enforcement action against Merrill Lynch. He also served as co-counsel for the largest ever tax whistleblower recovery in New York history, which was recently announced by New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood.

As the former Assistant Director in the Enforcement Division of the SEC, Thomas is the principal architect of the SEC Whistleblower Program. Since entering private practice in 2011, he has established the nation’s first whistleblower practice exclusively focused on helping SEC whistleblowers and brought landmark SEC cases including the first officer of a public company to win an award, the first whistleblower to receive criminal immunity and the first to receive an award because of retaliation.

Named one of the top whistleblower practices/attorneys in the country by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, NPR and The New Yorker
