Defendant Donahue, a former Cincinnati investment advisor and broker-dealer, engaged in a 12-year scheme through his company to misappropriate at least $6 million from at least 200 of brokerage clients. Clients were told their money would be deposited into a tax-free bond fund, but instead it went to Donahue’s personal bank accounts. He also was sentenced to 46 months in prison.
