This case involved alleged insider trading in the securities of Chrysler Corporation. Defendant McKiernan was an executive assistant to a senior officer of Tracinda Corporation, the largest shareholder of Chrysler at the time, and she allegedly tipped the co-defendant, her former husband, and his father that Tracinda was planning to make a tender offer. Illicit profits of approximately $120,000. Defendants were permanently enjoined but monetary sanctions were waived upon their demonstrated inability to pay.
