The Taxpayers Against Fraud Education Fund hosted a SEC Whistleblower Boot Camp at the Embassy Row Hotel in Washington, DC on Wednesday, November 16, 2011.
Partner Jordan A. Thomas served as a moderator during the 9:35 am session entitled, “Welcome to the Securities and Exchange Commission.” This session served as a basic primer on the SEC and will discuss the types of issues and companies that fall within the Commission’s jurisdiction; how the Commission’s various divisions are organized and how the Office of the Whistleblower Office fits within that framework; how the Commission investigates and prosecutes securities laws violations; etc.
