The New York City and the District of Columbia Bar Associations co-hosted a CLE event entitled “SEC Whistleblower Initiative: Update & Perspective” on Thursday, January 10, 2013.
Labaton Sucharow Partner Jordan A. Thomas served on a panel which discussed developments in the SEC’s Whistleblower Program, adoption of the Whistleblower Rules, success of the initiative to date in attracting quality tips, bounty award considerations, impact of the initiative on various SEC Enforcement Division program areas, and practical advice for counsel involved in the whistleblower process.
