Chuck Dender is a seasoned litigator with deep experience handling some of the nation’s most complex commercial disputes, honed over two decades at two of the country’s largest law firms. While he built his early career defending major corporations in high stakes litigation, Chuck is a plaintiffs’ lawyer at heart. A former member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, he brings a personal understanding of the stakes for individuals and organizations seeking accountability, and he now represents plaintiffs exclusively in matters involving financial misconduct, corporate fraud, and systemic wrongdoing.

Chuck’s practice is distinguished by his sophisticated command of financial issues, strengthened by an MBA in finance and quantitative finance from the NYU Stern School of Business. He has worked closely with economists and expert witnesses on cases involving complex damages modeling and valuation disputes, including helping present the damages case of one of the world’s largest financial institutions following the collapse of Lehman Brothers. He trained under a principal architect of the SEC Whistleblower Program, Jordan Thomas, and has a deep understanding of complex securities and financial services matters.

A significant portion of Chuck’s work centers on representing whistleblowers before the SEC, CFTC, and state enforcement agencies. He has authored impactful submissions for both insiders and outside analysts, helping regulators uncover significant misconduct in public company reporting, inventory and revenue recognition practices, and financial services operations. Chuck has presented whistleblowers and cooperating witnesses directly to senior SEC leadership, and his work has contributed to multi-million dollar resolutions involving major technology, alcohol, and financial industry players.

Across both whistleblower and complex litigation matters, Chuck is known for his meticulous preparation, deep subject matter fluency, and commitment to empowering clients through a process that can be both daunting and consequential. Whether navigating the intricacies of federal securities laws or the financial dimensions of complex commercial disputes, he has built a reputation as a precise, trusted advocate who brings technical sophistication and strong strategic instincts to every matter.
