Piper Jaffray Manager Enjoined and Barred in Marking the Close case

Defendant Hall was employed as a registered representative and Sioux Falls branch manager for U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray Inc. He and his customer, defendant Rivers, allegedly perpetrated a fraudulent scheme to artificially increase the closing price of First Federal Capital Corporation common stock, in order to prevent or reduce numerous margin calls Rivers received on his trading accounts at Piper Jaffray.
