Orchestrators of $15 Million Ponzi Scheme Enjoined and Barred

SEC v. Edward A. Allen, David L. Olson, and A&O Investments, LLC

  • 2012
  • $11.2 Million

Defendants Allen and Olson, through their company A&O Investments, LLC, were found to have raised approximately $14.8 million from at least 100 investors through the unregistered offer and sale of promissory notes issued by A&O. Investors were told that their money would be used to purchase, rehabilitate, and sell real estate, and promised annual returns of 20%. Only $5.1 million of the $14.8 million raised was invested as represented, with the rest misappropriated for Ponzi payments and the individual defendants’ personal use. They were both also criminally convicted.
