SEC Charges Pastor, Associate With Fraud Targeting Victims in Churches and the Recently Laid-Off

Alleged fraud spearheaded by a pastor, the SEC charged defendants with raising approximately $6.7 million from more than 80 investors who were guaranteed high returns and falsely told that Treasure Enterprise LLC, the company they were investing in, was a profitable real estate company with hundreds of residential and commercial properties. At the filing of the complaint, it was estimated that investors were owed $1.9 million in past due payments. The case was still pending at the time of this writing/summary.
